The 19 Bar, in the heart of the gay district of Loring Park, once was known as a pick-up bar for young hustlers and their fans. Today, young professionals and cute college boys and girls enjoy the bar’s quaint charm, friendly atmosphere, beer and strong drinks. The place is also known for its tournament-class pool tables, electronic dartboards and a diverse jukebox.
The beer flows by the pitcher full ($7.50 during Happy Hour, 3-7p.m.) keeping the pool table and dart-throwing competitors well fortified. You won’t find any drama queens here, which is a refreshing prospect for those over the city’s more flamboyant GLBT scene Downtown.
